HELLO LADIES. For those who don’t know, please could you explain what Lokate LDN does?

Lokate LDN enables visionaries to execute their creative concepts in the lifestyle and hospitality sectors.

We devise and execute strategies for brands during their development phase from concept design to launch. We provide a wealth of experience to ensure that openings run as smoothly as possible with a strong team in place to operate.  We have opened restaurants and hotels globally and understand the extreme level of work and detail required to achieve a successful operation!

What was the inspiration behind Lokate?

We saw a gap in the market for established brands or upcoming brands within the hospitality and lifestyle sector to be supported through the most difficult time; the opening. With our combined experiences of working in these industries, we saw we could advise brands on how best to launch, and the strategy around this.

As best friends we were always talking about doing something together - Locket managed to convince Kate to do Lokate LDN on the top of a Land Rover in the middle of the Kenyan bush after a few too many G&T’s!

You’ve helped launch several restaurants across the globe and you both love eating out. Where would you say are your favourite places to dine out in London?

We love so many places! Primeur, Brawn, Trullo, Campanina and Jones. Anywhere with delicious pasta…. The River Cafe if we are feeling naughty!

In terms of fashion, how would you describe your STYLE? Would you say they are similar?

We love a lot of the same brands but have different style within them. Although one Winter we had the same pair of biker boots and it was a race on WhatsApp each morning to see who bagged wearing them that day!

Where do you most like to shop?

Em and Me, Zimmerman, Vampires Wife, Ganni, Faithful The Brand.

We’ve had the great pleasure of making both of your wedding dresses. To what extent were the final designs what you had imagined when you originally thought about your wedding dresses?

L: It was a wonderful process of being able to combine different elements of dresses that I love and putting the Eponine touch to it. I absolutely loved the process of the fittings and all the lovely people that work at Eponine. Doing it with friends meant so much. I also loved that my dress was completely cotton, very relaxed, floaty and not stiff at all.

K: I had a very clear vision in my mind of what I wanted - even more so after trying on dresses at the standard bridal shops around London. I knew then that I wanted to create the dress with Eponine - especially as I was marrying Jet’s nephew! I then sat with Jet and Pep and really in under an hour we came up with my dream dress - they knew exactly what I was after and created it. For me, the sheer pleasure of the time spent in the studio with the team, Jet and Nina was so much part of the happy memories building up to my wedding day.
