INTRODUCING > THE ARTISAN DRESS
Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, Queen Mother of Thailand, firmly believes that, to truly help people suffering from poverty, you must enable them to develop practical skills to improve their lives. This belief led her to found the SUPPORT Foundation; a charity which preserves and perpetuates Thai indigenous arts and crafts
It is with great honour that today, Her Majesty’s 87th birthday, we launch the Eponine Artisan dress. This dress, inspired by the artisans we met in Chiang Mai, by the textiles displayed in the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, and by the crafts encountered at the Bangkok Style Fair – an invitation to which was generously extended to Eponine by the Thai Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP).
The EPONINE Artisan dress is made up entirely of pieces of hand embroidered fabrics sourced from rural communities in Thailand
We are thrilled and honoured to use these beautiful, colourful, make-your-heart-sing fabrics. As a means of expressing this, we would like to donate the full proceeds of the first Eponine Artisan dress ordered to Her Majesty’s SUPPORT Foundation. 10% of all subsequent sales will also go to SUPPORT.
